22 Viral Producer/DJ content styles you can get inspiration from

If you're reading this - it's a fact you're serious about your growth as a producer/DJ.

Whether you’re trying to grow your audience or income from music - your follower count is vital.

It's surface level and vain but we all respect and notice someone that has 1K followers over 2-300.

10K > 1K.

100K > 10K.

With the potential reach of short-form content (reels, tiktoks, shorts) - it's never been easier to gain these followers.

Let's dive into content ideas that already work and do well.

You can draw inspiration from these for your own growth - no matter what stage of development you're at.

Educate, Entertain, Enlighten - all with Empathy

Before we look at examples, we need to first understand content styles.

Educate = Show someone something.

Entertain = Captivate someone.

Enlighten = New way of thinking.

Empathy = Feeling understood by someone, like they know who you are.

Empathy gets added to the first 3 types - so you're always connecting with people in a way they can feel understood.

Humans are emotional beings first.

When you follow someone after seeing their content, ask yourself what it was that made you follow.

9/10 it's because you relate to them... You feel understood by them AKA Empathy.

Let's look at some short form content examples now.

Empathy

With all these content styles, injecting them with empathy is key.

Empathy means, being personable, showing your personality - telling things from your perspective.

You can still make content without empathy but if you're able to use it - it will 10x your potential to go viral.

You can be more empathetic by being more expressive.

  • Talk with passion and energy.

  • Vary the tone and pitch of your voice.

  • Use your hands and body language to emphasize.

These are small starting points, there's a lot more to it we can look at in a future letter if you want (let me know in insta)

Next steps for you to start your own content

Today, your only 2 steps are the following.

1. Pick 3-5 of these examples (or similar ones you find) you like.

Get at least 1 from each category.

2. Pay attention to what makes you watch vs swipe away on your favourite videos.

Notice why you keep watching videos and put a reason/name to it.

  • Was it educational?

  • Maybe entertaining?

  • Or it was enlightening with new perspectives?

  • Did it relate to you in an empathetic way that makes you feel understood?

This will help you think more as a creator and less as consumer.

Next week, we'll be talking on the exact steps to make these styles into your own - no matter your experience level.

Peace,
